Dear Canyon High School Families,
Welcome to the 2009-10 academic year. PTSA is a
non-profit organization of parent volunteers focused on our
children. This year we look forward to another successful
set of activities geared towards student leadership, teacher
involvement, life enrichment, and parent education
workshops.
The strength and dedication between teachers, parents,
administrators, community leaders and business partners has
helped the school to attain the Distinguished School Award;
In order to supplement the educational learning, this year
PTSA we will focus on specific programs and will work with
community organizations that provide the following services:
Banks, Law Enforcement, Lawyers, and Driving Schools. If you
can help in any of these areas, please contact us to
schedule a meeting. Even though our children are now young
adults, I encourage all parents to remain involved by
meeting your students’ teachers and administrators,
volunteering time, and supporting your students’ High School
learning and activities as they prepare for the future.
HOW DO BECOME OR REMAIN INVOLVED?
Join
the Canyon High PTSA. Your PTSA
membership supports many programs and activities at Canyon
including Student Scholarships, Student Awards, Student Drug
Awareness, Career Programs, Canyon Pride Day, Reflections,
Breakfast for Champions and Curriculum Grants, to name just
a few. We need each and every one of you to join, so that we
can continue to support the Canyon family. With your
membership you are joining the largest organization in the
world that works solely for the benefit of our young people.
Volunteer…Throughout the school year there are many
opportunities for you to contribute your talents. PTSA
welcomes any time that you are able to volunteer… Please

electronic newsletter, phone updates, and an improved school
website as well as to strengthen the collaboration between
all of our member groups: our parents, teachers, students,
community and business partners. We ask for your support;
