ASES (After School Education & Safety) Information

The following is information on the District partners who provide services through the ASES Grant.

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

YMCA OF ORANGE: The YMCA of Orange ASES Program is a collaborative between the YMCA of Orange and the Orange Unified School District.  This state-funded, after-school enrichment program is operated every school day by the YMCA of Orange and is opened to students who attend California, Sycamore, Jordan, Prospect, Esplanade and West Orange Elementary Schools within the City of Orange.  Participants are provided with tutoring, academic enrichment, and physical education.  Dates of operation are August 25, 2010 - June 16, 2011, Monday through Friday for ages K-6th. The operating hours are afterschool until 6:00 p.m.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

CAMP FIRE: After School Connection (ASC) provides safe and structured afterschool programming to middle school students on a daily basis.  The program includes homework assistance, curriculum-based enrichment instruction and structured recreation.  Participating sites are: Yorba and Portola.
