The Orange Unified School District School Age Care (SAC) Program provides a safe, stable and stimulating environment for school age children.  the SAC Program is based on the principle that school age care programs exist for the purpose of promoting, supporting and enhancing school age children's development.

Each SAC center is staffed by a SAC Leader, Assistant Leader and an Aide.  SAC Leaders have a minimum of 12 units in Human Growth and Development or a Children's Center Permit or Elementary Teaching Credential issued by the State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.  Assistant Leaders and Aides meet necessary District requirements for education and experience in child care.

Children choose from a daily list of activities offered in an open classroom setting.  Both indoor and outdoor learning experiences are provided with time for active play as well as time to relax, read, do homework and participate in quiet activities.  Each site offers before and after-school care to correspond with each school's daily schedule.

ADMISSION: The child must attend the school where the program is offered.  The program is only open to students in Kindergarten through 6th grade (through 8th grade at McPherson Magnet School contingent on space).
