Our third PFSO meeting and first evening
meeting was held on the 9th of November. December 14th will be our next meeting
at 8.30 am in the Library. Volunteers are needed for the Staff Appreciation
Breakfast in December and it is the same day as our next meeting. You can bring
food; attend our meeting, and return later that day to pick up your empty
plate. Contact Tonya McDermott or Carmen Black to let them know what your
special treat will be for the Team Viking staff.
Our second evening meeting will be held
March 14th, 2012 at 6.30 pm in the Library.
If you have a chance, please stop in at
the front office and see Cerro Villa's own "CVTV." The technology lab
is up and running and the mobile carts are ready to go. The Race to Nowhere
premiere at the end of October welcomed 139 attendees and helped raise money to
be used for the PFSO's GOALS program later in the school year.
The ASB Cookie Dough/Magazine Sale was a
huge success! Our students raised over $30,000 for programs and activities. The
final prize includes a week of free dress (December 12-16) for the highest
selling students! Thank you to everyone who participated and special thanks go
to Debo Tracewell and Lisa Hedspeth for organizing this event.
Volunteers are needed for CV's Spring
Mardi Gras Party. This is such a special night for the students and it is one
of the "Hallmark" events of the Year! Seventh grade parent volunteers
are also needed for next year's summer registration. Volunteers are always
welcome at all of our events.
