Speech and Debate Success

Matt Rock (senior) and Sabina Tsai (sophomore) qualified together in Duo Interpretation and Amanda Remy (freshman) qualified in Humorous Interpretation. Please join us in congratulating these amazing students and wishing them well at the next level of competition.

Robotics Club Competition

Congratulations to the El Modena Robotics Team, The Clockwork Oranges, and students Madison Anderson, Alice Bowie, Tony Kaminski, David Mendoza, Tavis McGary, Andrew Nava and David Tue for the fantastic job they did at the Las Vegas Regional First Robotics Competition. The team managed to design, prototype, build, program and test drive a 120 pound, fast moving, beach ball catapulting robot in only 6 weeks. They are mentored by 3 top engineers: Mark Bowie, Mark McGary and Bill Gaines, along with Team Mom, Sara Bowie. Although the team was eliminated in the second round of the semi finals, the Clockwork Oranges still did a great job. Check out what their robot can do HERE and HERE.
