SPRING 2009 SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS
Congratulations to the boys’ volleyball team for winning the Century League title. The boys’ team went undefeated through the season.

Additional congratulations to the boys’ track and field team for winning the Century League Finals Championship Meet this Spring. Individual Century League boys’ champions are Aaron Fittery in the 110 hurdles, Kevin Holmes in the 300 hurdles, Billy Vetter in the 800 meters, Danny Jones in the discus, Patrick Zurbuchen in the long jump and Ryan Foster in the triple jump. Individual Century League girls’ champions are Dana Eshelman in the 300 hurdles, Courtney Brown in the shot put and DJ Rhoads in the triple jump.

CIF playoff competition will saw athletes from El Modena competing in boys’ volleyball, girls’ softball, boys’ and girls’ swimming and track and field.

WINTER 2008-09 SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS:
Congratulations to: Kevin Barton for winning his Second CIF wrestling title; boys’ wrestling and boy’s soccer for winning a Century League championships.

Additional congratulations to the following El Modena boys’ and girls’ teams for qualifying for the first round of CIF competition: boys’ wrestling, boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer, girls water polo and a wild card entry for boys’ basketball.

Congratulations to freshman girls’ tennis player Krista Hardebeck for qualifying to compete in the CIF Individual Championship Round of 16. Krista and Nicole Koehly were selected Century League Co-Players of the Year.

Additional congratulations go to Kyle Aukshunas and Elle Pace for being the Century League Athletes of the Year for Cross Country.
