The Lampson staff and community are dedicated to student excellence.
Lampson Elementary is a Professional Learning Community continuously examining and analyzing student data in a collaborative environment with the intent of reflecting on instructional practices that will lead to continual increased student achievement.
Lampson Beliefs include:
- All stakeholders (staff members, families, students, and community) are an integral part of the vision and mission of Lampson.
- All students can improve in a safe and supportive learning environment.
- A collaborative, focused faculty/staff can make the difference in student achievement.
On behalf of our staff, students and parent community I welcome you to our school. Lampson Elementary School serves students in grades K-5.
Providing the best education we are capable of delivering is our top priority. We work hard to get to know each one of our students in order to deliver targeted instruction to meet their individual needs. State of California’s Grade Level Standards are the center of our curriculum. Throughout the year we monitor our students’ progress with ongoing assessments aligned with instruction.
Parents play a critical role in the continued academic improvement of Lampson students. Activities and committees which involve parents and support their children’s learning include Back to School Night, Parent Teacher Conferences, Bring Your Parent to School Days, Family Literacy events, the annual Community Science Night, as well as the English Language Advisory Committee, the School Site Council, and PTA.
Students at Lampson are provided with a safe and respectful learning environment. Here they learn to be respectful to themselves and others, to be responsible for their academic and social behaviors, and to be ready to perform their personal best.
Support from our community is a particular strength of the Lampson School. Community partners include the Women’s Philanthropy Division of the Orange County Jewish Federation, Women’s Club of Orange, the Crystal Cathedral, and The Nike Store. All of these organizations provide adult volunteers who faithfully contribute time tutoring our students to strengthen their literacy, organizing lunch time games, or making generous donations of school supplies, books, awards, and uniforms throughout the year.
Working collaboratively, staying on top of current research and a commitment to on-going professional training are a hallmark of our professional work. Please feel free to contact our school for any additional information.
