On behalf of our
staff, students and parent
community I would like to
welcome you to our school. We
are an elementary school that
operates on a single track year
round calendar. Our
instructional program serves
students in grades K-5. There
is also a Head Start preschool
program on our campus
coordinated by Orange Children
and Parents Together that serves
three and four year students in
our attendance area.
Providing
the best education we are
capable of delivering is our
staff’s top priority. We work
hard to get to know each one of
our students. We then plan and
deliver targeted instruction to
meet their individual needs.
Our curriculum centers on the
State of California’s Grade
Level Standards. Throughout the
year we work to monitor our
students’ progress with ongoing
assessments including the Orange
Unified School District’s Paced
Standards Assessments,
assessments aligned with our
instructional materials and
teacher assessments.
Classroom
instruction is supported with
two and a half instructional
coaches and one Push In teacher
who work with small groups of
students and collaborate and
peer coach with classroom
teachers.
Parents are
a critical component to our plan
for continued academic
improvement for every learner.
Scheduled activities to involve
parents and help them support
their children’s learning
include Back to School Night,
Parent Teacher Conferences,
Passport to Learning Night,
Family Literacy Day, Breakfast
and Books and Barbeque and
Books.
We believe
in providing our students with a
safe and respectful learning
environment. Students attended
first day of school assemblies
in which they learned of their
rights to receive the best
education possible and their
right to come to school and not
be afraid of being hurt, being
made fun of, or having their
personal belongings taken or
destroyed.
This year
staff is receiving training in a
Positive Behavioral Intervention
and Support program to continue
our efforts in developing self
responsibility.
Support
from our community is a
particular strength of the
Lampson School Community.
Community partners include the
Women’s Philanthropy Division of
the Orange County Jewish
Federation and Argent Mortgage
now known as Citi Mortgage. Both
of these organizations provide
adult volunteers who faithfully
contribute time tutoring our
students to strengthen our
literacy program.
Working
collaboratively, staying on top
of current research and a
commitment to on-going
professional training are a
hallmark of our professional
work. Please feel free to
contact our school for any
additional information you may
require. We can be reached at
(714) 997-3315.
