Special Education Community Advisory Committee (CAC)

Welcome to the Home page of the OUSD Special Education Community Advisory Committee. The purpose of the Community Advisory Committee is to inform and educate members of the community, so that a broad base of community support and participation is developed. This enables the committee to advise the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) in all matters concerning the identification and educational management of individuals with exceptional needs. We hope that you will join us at one of our meetings and introduce yourself to our friendly board members made up of parents just like you and also OUSD staff members. I think you will find them very informative. Some of our past meetings have included special education legal issues, local community resources, and transitions from one level of school into another. Take some time to explore our many resources and find out more about the schools with special education programs.
